There is an odd sort of genuine gentleness to this exchange, one which Simon doesn't typically entertain, unless he's with Grace, and even then... Those are usually interrupted by something. To make matters worse, Simon is incredibly lonely here, and this is the first time someone has felt so very familiar and easy to connect with.]
